Scholarship Award 2022

Woman of Worth, Inc. is proud to award a $500 scholarship to Nyla Jones, a junior at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and a talented alto and baritone saxophonist. Nyla has been accepted into a prestigious five-week summer intensive at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nyla participated in WOW, Inc.’s Goal Diggers Vision Board Workshop, which helped her clarify her goals and plan for her future. One of her goals to strengthen her jazz improvisation skills is now becoming a reality.

“Our organization exists to help young women see their worth and pursue their potential,” said Founder Nikkie Pittman. “Nyla’s passion, discipline, and dedication to her craft truly embody that mission.”
